John Thorpe has been a winemaker since 1990 and still finds the annual harvest exciting and challenging, "there are always new developments in the business, different weather patterns effecting harvest and new markets to explore”. His passion for the craft is what inspired and lies at the heart of creating Longbush Wines. As CEO, he oversees the overall business operations, ensuring that the family’s vision of excellence is reflected in every aspect of Longbush Wines.

Ash Thorpe has been working alongside his father since 2013, and he is the driving force behind the day-to-day operations and sales strategy at Longbush Wines. Ash plays a crucial role in managing production, overseeing staff, and ensuring the seamless delivery of the winery’s exceptional wines to the market. His dedication to quality and innovation continues to support the growth and success of the business, as he works to build on the legacy his family has created.

 

Winemaker - Claudia Hintz

Claudia Hintz is the winemaker at Longbush Wines, where she carries out the entire winemaking process. From fermentation to creating the final wine, Claudia ensures that each step reflects the winery’s commitment to quality and sustainability. With her extensive knowledge and hands-on approach, she plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of the winery’s production.
