As the vineyard changes, so do the co-ordinates on the bottle – capturing the origin of each release and creating a Chardonnay that tells the story of where it was grown.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis vintage comes from the Hexton area of Gisborne, crafted from Mendoza and Clone 95 Chardonnay grown on Makauri Clay Loam soils. Aromas of ripe stone fruit, apple and citrus are layered with notes of vanilla, caramel and toasted oak.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grapes were gently pressed, with the juice lightly clarified before being guided into French oak barrels for fermentation. There, the wine rested on fine lees, with thoughtful bâtonnage building texture and subtle complexity.
